TOP FIVE O.C. PLAYERS TO WATCH
Sammy Cordova, Edison, Pitcher, Sr.
Cordova, who has committed to Utah, put together one of the most dominant pitching performances in Edison history last season. She went 25-5 with a 0.88 ERA and 186 strikeouts in 192 innings. She recorded 14 shutouts, including three in the playoffs to lead the Chargers to the CIF-SS Division 1 semifinals.
Nicole DeWitt, Pacifica, Infielder, Jr.
DeWitt, who has committed to Florida, had one of the best offensive seasons during the regular season and that came against some of the best pitching in the nation. She hit .488 with nine doubles, eight homers, 41 runs and 24 RBI and she had nine stolen bases.

Megan Geer, Los Alamitos, 2B/OF, Senior
Geer is one of the best clutch hitters in the county and she has big-game experience. She plays for the So Cal A's, who have won the past three Premier Girls Fastpitch national championships. Geer hits for power and average and is a big reason the Griffins are expected to be in contention for the Sunset League and Division 1 titles.
Jade Vecvanags, Orange Lutheran, P/OF, Sr.
Vecvanags, who committed to Illinois, put up huge numbers at the plate and as part of Orange Lutheran's 1-2 punch at pitcher. She hit .407 with 10 homers, five doubles, two triples, 25 runs and 26 RBI. In the circle, she was 16-1 with a 0.86 ERA and 155 strikeouts in 114 innings.
Karley Wester, Edison, CF/IB/3B, Sr.
Wester has been a fixture on the All-County team since her sophomore year. She is one of the most dangerous leadoff hitters in the country because of her speed. She hits for power and average. And she is one of the best leaders in the county. Wester hit .406 with 36 runs and 23 stolen bases last season.
