Ocean View's Brown commits to Stanford

Ocean View senior Anthony Brown, the CIF-Southern Section Division IV-AA co-player of the year in 2008-09,  committed to Stanford on Tuesday, Seahawks coach Jim Harris confirmed.

Brown, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, and teammate Avery Johnson were IV-AA co-players of the year last season when they led the Seahawks to the division championship.

Ocean View also advanced to the state Division III final in which they lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral of San Francisco.

Brown averaged 12 points a game on a balanced-scoring team that went 27-8.
