How they got here: Top-seeded Santa Margarita (Trinity League second place) defeated La Habra, 57-40; West Torrance, 59-28; Sierra Vista of Baldwin Park, 68-45; and Bonita of La Verne, 57-43; Third-seeded Muir of Pasadena (Pacific League champion) defeated Charter Oak of Covina, 78-30; Rancho Alamitos, 68-48; Citrus Hill of Perris, 68-55; and Barstow, 57-39.

Outlook: Santa Margarita, ranked No. 7 in the county, is making its third appearance in the finals and first since winning the Division 3AA title in 2005. Muir is making its 12th appearance in the finals and first since 2004. Muir hasn't won a championship since taking the Division 3AA title in 1997.
