Rancho loses fourth consecutive league game.
GARDEN GROVE - Bolsa Grande handed Rancho Alamitos its fourth consecutive loss in league with a 10-7 victory Friday night.
The Matadors (4-4, 1-2) entered the second half down, 7-0, to the Vaqueros (2-6, 0-4), but an interception in the third quarter by Kevin Figueroa would prove to be the catalyst the Matadors needed.
The interception by Figueroa was capped off with a 26-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Loughmiller to Nick Espinoza.
Late in the fourth quarter with the Matadors up 10-7, the Vaqueros were trying to rally. The Matadors ended it when Oscar Herrera intercepted the ball in the end zone with 20 seconds left.
