MISSION VIEJO Previously winless in 2007 Trinity League action, Santa Margarita was able to regain its winning ways by rolling over JSerra, 62-0, Friday at Saddleback College.

The Eagles (4-4, 1-2) maintained their rushing-focused offensive game plan throughout, with senior running backs Carlo Audagnotti and Trevor Brooks combining for 215 yards and seven touchdowns.

"We wanted to get them [Audagnotti and Brooks]going early; our ground game is what got us to where we are," Santa Margarita coach Michael Jacot said. "It's nice to get a win against a crosstown rival, a rivalry which is going to get big in the near future."

Though JSerra (2-6, 0-3) was unable to stop Santa Margarita offensively — the Eagles scored on all nine possessions — and was mostly ineffective with its own offensive attack, it did start the game on a positive note.

Coach Jim Hartigan's squad successful tried and recovered an onside kick.
