Spring Insider: Q&A with Jared Moore
Q: What are your feelings about playing a more dominant role in the running game after splitting carries last season?
JM: I was told last year, toward the end of the season, that next year is probably going to be mostly my carries. … I was excited. I was ready. I’ve been working hard in the weight room in the offseason. I’m definitely ready.
Q: With an inexperienced defense, do you think the offense will have to take on a bigger load this year?
JM: We scrimmaged last week, and our defense doesn’t look like it lost much. We’re looking really fast on D. And our offense has looked a lot better too.
Q: What are your plans for after your next season?
JM: I actually think I’m going to head to a junior college. Probably Mt. SAC. Try to look at Saddleback, something like that.
Q: If you could play anywhere, where you choose?
JM: Probably the University of Texas at Austin. … I’ve liked them for a while. I’ve watched them since I was young. They’re my favorite team.
Q: Is there anyone in college or the pros whom you particularly admire?
JM: I really look up to Adrian Peterson, even though he went to Oklahoma. I’ve been looking up to him for awhile.
Q: What do you like about the way he runs?
JM: Physical, fast and big.
