Loara

Last season: 2-7, 1-3

Postseason: 2001, lost to Cerritos, 42-7, in first round of Division VI first round

Coach: Dean Lappin (third year, 2-17)

Outlook: Things are looking up for the Saxons program. While they might not contend for the league title this season, Coach Dean Lappin likes the progress that is being made from year-to-year and believes the Saxons have a chance to be better than they have been the previous two seasons. First things first, though, and the Saxons will have to overcome the injury bug and sort out some offensive line problems before the season starts.

Home stadium: Glover Stadium

Factoid: The Saxons have missed the playoffs the past six seasons.

Strongest: Isaac Falealili

School record: 253-213-13

Players to watch
Isaac Falealil
First-team all-league selection at defensive end, will get time at fullback this season as well
  Marcus Meraz
Was virtually a rookie last season at quarterback. Should be more comfortable as a senior
