Boys basketball playoffs: Division 3AAA county breakdown
Brea Olinda: The Wildcats (19-7) finished fourth in the seven-team league Century League. They play at Garden Grove League champion Santiago in a first-round game Wednesday.
La Quinta: The Aztecs (11-14) finished third in the Garden Grove League with a 6-4 league record, only two games behind league-champion Santiago. They play at Mt. Baldy League champion Colony of Ontario in the first round Wwednesday.
Santiago: The Cavaliers (15-9) won the Garden Grove League championship, the school's first boys basketball league title since 1976. They play a first-round home game Wednesday against Brea Olinda, the No. 4 team from the Century League.
Servite: The Friars (15-12) finished fifth in the six-team Trinity League and qualified as an at-large team. Servite plays at Arroyo, No. 1 team of the Mission Valley League, in the first round Wednesday. Servite beat county top 10 teams El Toro and Orange Lutheran.
Sonora: The Freeway League-champion Raiders (23-3) are seeded No. 2 in the division. They beat Sunny Hills in the final game of the regular season to capture the league title. Jimmy Golden is averaging 19 points a game for Sonora, which plays host to Santa Maria in the first round Wednesday.
Tustin: The Tillers (25-2) went 10-0 in the Empire League to win the league championship, and are seeded No. 1 in the division. Tustin plays host to Cerritos in a first-round game Wednesday. The Tillers' only losses were to Foothill and Mater Dei. Nick Hornsby is averaging 17 points a game.
