Boys basketball playoffs: Division 2A county breakdown
Canyon: The Comanches (17-7) finished tied, with Foothill, for second place in the Century League. They are seeded third inthe division, and have a first-round home game Friday against Serrano. JoJo Ballestero is averaging 18 points a game.
El Modena: The Vaguards (11-16) finished fifth in the seven-team Century League and qualified as an at-large team. They play at Godinez (14-12), the No. 2 team from the Orange Coast League, Friday.
Garden Grove: The Argonauts (15-8) finished second in the Garden Grove League, one game behind Santiago which they defeated two weeks ago. Garden Grove plays a first-round home game Friday against Tesoro.
Godinez: The Grizzlies (14-12) finished second, behind Laguna Beach, in the Orange Coast League. They play host to El Modena in the first round Friday.
La Habra: The Highlanders (10-16) finished fourth in the Freeway League. Their reward -- they plat at top-seeded Westlake (23-4) in the first round.
Newport Harbor: The Sailors (13-13) qualified as at-large team after finishing fifth in the six-team Sunset League. Harbor plays at Patriot in the first round Friday. The Sailors won their final three league games, beating Marina, Huntington Beach and Los Alamitos.
Savanna: The Rebels went undefeated in the Orange League to win the league championship. Keith Davis is averaging 18 points a game for Savanna, which plays host to Woodbridge in the first round Friday.
Tesoro: The Titans (18-9) finished fourth in the five-team South Coast League and qualified as an at-large team. They play at Garden Grove (15-8) in the first round Friday. Tesoro's Tanner Lancona, who averages 19 points a game, signed with Washington State.
Western: The Pioneers qualified finished fourth in the seven-team Empire League. They play at Don Lugo, the No. 3 team from the Mt. Baldy League, in the first round Friday.
Woodbridge: The Warriors (11-16) play at Orange League champion Savanna in the first round Friday. Woodbridge finished third in the Pacific Coast League.
