Boys basketball playoffs: Division 2AA county breakdown
Santa Ana:The Saints (12-15) finished fourth in the six-team Golden West League. They play at Mark Keppel, Almont League champion, in the first round Friday.
Sunny Hills: The Lancers (21-7) finished second to Sonora in the Freeway League. They are seeded No. 4 in the division. Sunny Hills, No. 9 in the county rankings, plays host to Lynwood in the first round Friday.
University: The Trojans (8-19) finished fifth in the six-team Pacific Coast League with a 2-8 league record. They play at JW North of Riverside in a first-round game Friday. Chris DaSilva is avaraging 25 points a game.
Valencia: The Tigers (9-18) finished seventh in the seven-team Empire League. They play at third-seeded Villa Park in the first round Friday.
Villa Park: The Spartans (20-6) are the No. 3 seeded-team in the division. They play host to Valencia, the last-place team from the Empire League, in the first round Friday. Villa Park is No. 8 in the county rankings.
Westminster: The Lions (11-14) finished third in the Golden West League. Westminster played a challenging nonleague schedule. The Lions have a first-round home game against Thousand Oaks. Although Thousand Oaks (21-6) is the division's second-seeded team, because Thousand Oaks is a No. 4 team from its league and Westminster is a No. 3 from its league, Westminster gets the home game.
