IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Trabuco Hills. The Mustangs finished in second place in league and reached the Southwest semifinals last season. They won the league championship and reached the Southwest finals in 2007. A strong defense, large O-Line and some very good skill players will keep Trabuco Hills in the league title hunt and in contention for a championship.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
El Toro. The Chargers have a new coach, Rob Frith, but they have 16 starters back who gained valuable experience and should help them make a run at a playoff berth.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Shane DeCillo. The Trabuco Hills running back was the league’s leading rusher last season and he has improved his quickness in the offseason, which should make him even more of a threat. Look for him to get some playing time at linebacker as well.
Aaron Dupin. The 6-3, 225-pound quarterback transferred from Foothill of Henderson, Nev., to Foothill in the O.C. Dupin has a strong arm, an NCAA Division I-prospect frame, a massive line protecting him and plenty of targets to pass to.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Foothill at Trabuco Hills, Oct. 31. Foothill won the league title in 2006, Trabuco Hills took the championship in 2007 and Foothill came back and won it in 2008. The league title should come down to these two teams once again.
TOUGHEST SCHEDULE
Foothill. The Knights have a nonleague schedule that includes Fountain Valley, Tustin, Santa Margarita, Canyon and El Modena. Trabuco Hills comes in second with nonleague games against laguna Hills and San Clemente.
