•La Habra has five returning starters, including Dominique Moreno, who was team MVP and all-league last season. Jordan Sachs, also a top member La Habra's CIF-championship football team, was the team's defensive player of the year last season. …

•Fullerton's Dwayne Fells was league MVP and All-CIF last year. Josh Chang can score; he had a high game of 27 points last season. …

•Sonora has height, depth and talent, and should compete for the league championship. …

•Buena Park, with 10 seniors on the roster, has more experienced returnees than it has had in some time. Jamar Bryant averaged 10 points and seven rebounds last season. …

•Troy lost most of its top players to graduation, so this could be a challenging year for the Warriors. …
