Laguna Beach 9, Dos Pueblos of Goleta 8: Sophomores Makenzie Fischer and Brighid Burnes scored the first two goals of the fourth period to give the host Breakers (19-9) a 9-7 lead and they held on to reach Saturday’s quarterfinals. Laguna Beach plays host to fourth-seeded Newport Harbor at 2 p.m. The Sailors beat Canyon, 18-3, on Wednesday.
Corona del Mar 17, Ventura 4: Stephania and Ioanna Haralabidis combined for eight goals and four assists to help pace the host and third-seeded Sea Kings (24-4), who play host to Los Alamitos on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Los Alamitos 17, Costa Mesa 2: Stephanie Mutafyan scored six goals to pace the visiting Griffins (22-6).
San Marcos 11, Edison 8: Sabrina Jensen scored four goals and Josette Santos made 13 saves, including two on penalty shots in the second half, in the loss visiting Chargers (14-15).
Foothill 22, Beckman 2: Nikki Stansfield and Krista Schneider each scored four goals to lead the host Knights (24-3), who play San Marcos in the quarterfinals.

Capistrano Valley 9, La Habra 7: Madison Matsushima scored seven goals and Emily Adams made 13 saves to lead the visiting Cougars, who play at South Pasadena on Thursday.
