Kennedy

Last season: 8-4, 3-1

Postseason: 2007, lost to Pacifica, 17-7 in Southern Division semifinals

Coach: Brit Johnson (first year)

Outlook: After 21 years the Kennedy football team will not have Mitch Olson leading the way as coach. Olson resigned in February to take a job in Georgia. Having a familiar replacement in Brit Johnson will undoubtedly ease the transition. Johnson is accustomed to the Kennedy way, having spent 13 years as an assistant under Olson. Kennedy finished in a three-way for the league championship last season but will have to find replacements for several key players who graduated. This is a solid program, so don't be surprised if the Fighting Irish are battling for the league title.

Home stadium: Western High

Factoid: Johnson coached the offensive and defensive lines for the previous 13 years at Kennedy.
