The freshman blazed to the fifth-fastest 100-yard butterfly in Orange County history (lifetime-best 54.70 seconds) and won the 100 freestyle in a county-leading and meet-record 51.67 seconds at the JSerra Invitational. McLaughlin also blazed a 59.22 in an exhibition 100 backstroke at the meet, her first in high school swimming.
