COACH OF THE YEAR

Mater Dei

Under the guidance of Martinez, the Monarchs enjoyed the best season in the history of the program. Mater Dei won the Orange County Championships team title for the second time, edging 2010 champion Trabuco Hills, 67-62. After winning the Trinity League title, the Monarchs closed the season by winning the school's first CIF-SS Division 2 team championship and were the only county school to win a CIF-SS Divisional title this season. "We hit a big milestone by winning the Orange County Championships and the CIF-SS Division 2 title," Martinez said. "Our team leaders were tremendous and I'm proud of the athletes and the entire coaching staff."
