On Friday, the UC Irvine-bound senior put the finishing touch on a 35-1 regular season by claiming his fourth-straight Empire League singles title.
A big reason why the Tigers enter the postseason as the top-ranked team in Division 3, Hammel won every single one of his 35 league matches this season, 6-0.
