Last season record:

3-7, 2-3 (fourth place)

Postseason:

2006, lost to Alhambra, 48-20, in first round of Southeast Division playoffs

Coach:

Tom Meiss (1st year, N/A)

Outlook:

Meiss returns as the Panthers’ head coach after holding that same position from 1989-91. Versatile senior Edgar Bejarano will quarterback an offense that showed promise at times last season but also struggled to generate points. Senior Francis Talavou will anchor the defensive and offensive lines.

Home stadium:

Fred Kelly Stadium

Factoid:

With Meiss as coach, the Panthers advanced to the CIF Division VIII finals in 1989. They lost to Trabuco Hills, 13-7, in the championship game.

345-454-34
