University upsets No. 10 Eagles in water polo
Junior Jake Sanders scored six goals and senior goalie Alex Bennett added nine saves to help University's boys water polo team upset No. 10 and host Santa Margarita, 12-9, in a nonleague match Thursday.
Todd Denaro and Erik Whyte each added two goals for the Trojans (2-0) while Griffin Chappell collected four steals.
Whyte also had three assists.
University led, 9-8, going into the fourth period. Santa Margarita dropped to 2-2.

No. 1 Mater Dei 21, Dos Pueblos of Goleta 4: James Walters scored six goals to lead 10 players in scoring for the visiting Monarchs (1-0) in a tune-up for this weekend's Santa Barbara Invitational.
Agoura 8, No. 8 Laguna Beach 5 (OT): Maxx McCarter made 16 saves and Caleb Scott added three goals for the Breakers in the Division 2 showdown and Santa Barbara tournament tune-up. Agoura outscored Laguna Beach, 3-0, in the overtime.
No. 10 Northwood 10, Villa Park 4: Billy Monjay and RJ Simmons each scored four goals to lead the host Timberwolves (2-1).
