Outlook:

Agnew will return for his second season, but his lineup has a makeover. The Lobos’ Jose Perez is the main threat returning. It may take some time for the new starters to emerge in their supporting roles. In the meantime, the Lobos can rely on a defense that’s experienced up front. Defensive linemen Kurt Acosta, Edgar Esqueda, Daniel Nunez and Jorge Saavedra were all juniors last year.

Daniel Nunez - The junior lineman recorded 46 tackles and 1 sack last year. Look for both categories to rise this season, as well as the senior’s leadership.
Edgar Esqueda. - A two-way player for the Lobos this season, Esqueda’s was a second-team selection last year. Coach Agnew says Esqueda is bigger, quicker and stronger from a season ago.
