Tustin, Santa Margarita title games set for Thursday
Tustin and Santa Margarita will play back-to-back in their CIF-Southern Section boys basketball championship games Thursday at Anaheim Convention Center.
Tustin will play Royal of Simi Valley in the Division 3AAA title game at 6:30 p.m. Santa Margarita plays Damien of La Verne in the 3AA final at 8:15 p.m.
If Tesoro wins its 2A semifinal tonight, it would play in the championship game Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Convention Center.
If Villa Park wins its 2AA semifinal tonight, the Spartans would play at the Convention Center on Saturday at 4 p.m.
It would be an El Toro vs. Dana Hills game in the 1A final on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Convention Center if El Toro beats Crescenta Valley and Dana Hills beats Santa Monica in the 1A semifinals tonight.
Mater Dei would play in the 1AA championship game Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Convention Center if the Monarchs win their 1AA semifinal tonight.
Tickets, $7-$13, will be on sale at participating schools beginning today or Wednesday morning.

MATER DEI GAME MOVED TO WEDNESDAY
The Mater Dei-Etiwanda girls basketball semifinal in Division 1AA was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday at Etiwanda at 7 p.m.
ALL-STAR COACHES PICKED
Corona del Mar's Scott Meyer and Katella's Fred DiPalma were selected as the coaches for the Brea Lions Orange County North-South all-star football game June 28 at Orange Coast College.
Meyer guided CdM to its second consecutive Southern Division title, while DiPalma led Katella to its first league title since 1967.
DiPalma also coached the North in the 1994 all-star game while at Savanna.

CIF-SS' RAFTERY DIES
CIF-Southern Section assistant commissioner Scott Raftery died Saturday at his Arcadia home after a brief battle with cancer. He was 55.
Since 2007, Raftery was in charge of the section's management of boys and girls volleyball, boys soccer and softball.
