Recruiting: Another all-star game on horizon
Get ready for another all-star football game.
The PrepStar California Classic is set for Jan. 29 at Home Depot Center, just three days before National Signing Day.
Orange County players, including Esperanza lineman Carl Hulick and Huntington Beach linebacker Nolan Biegel, are expected to be part of an All-Southern Section game at 6 p.m.
Biegel (6-2, 220) was scheduled to visit Penn over the weekend. He has planned recruiting trips to UNLV this weekend and San Diego State the last week of the month.
“Hopefully, if I have a really good showing in that the all-star game, maybe it will open some late possibilities for colleges,” he said.
Orange Lutheran’s Jim Kunau is scheduled to coach the Southern Section south team. Last week, several county players participated in the inaugural Catholic Christian Literacy Classic at Whittier College.
