Whittier Chr. vs. Southlands Chr.
WHITTIER - The Whittier Christian offense failed to convert on several scoring opportunities, and those missed chances proved to the difference in the game, as the Heralds fell to Los Angeles Baptist, 22-17, in an Olympic League game Friday night.

The Heralds looked to be in control of the game in the first half, as they grabbed a 7-0 lead on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Stephen Anderson to Jordan Chavira-Pearman in the second quarter.

As the first half was winding down it looked as if the Heralds were about to go in for another score, but a fumble at the Knights (6-4, 2-2) 5-yard line not only prevented a Whittier Christian score, but it swung the momentum.

The Knights had only 3:07 left in the half, but they didn’t need all of that time, as they drove 95 yards to tie the game with less than one minute to go in the first half.
