Two-time state qualifier Scott Chene makes his college choice
Scott Chene signed with Virginia Tech, his father Kevin confirmed.
Chene placed fourth at 130 pounds at the CIF State championships this year. He advanced to the championship semifinals before suffering his first defeat at the two-day championships.
Chene advanced to the state championships with consecutive second place finishes, first at the CIF-SS Individuals and then at the CIF-SS Masters Meet.
He also placed first at the Five Counties Invitational in January.
