Fabrigas' 4 TDs push Brethren Christian to victory
CVC vs. Brethren Christian
HUNTINGTON BEACH - Brethren Christian had a simple formula for victory Friday night, hand the ball to Drew Fabrigas and let him find the end zone.
Fabrigas did just that, scoring four touchdowns as the Warriors defeated Capistrano Valley Christian, 48-9, in an Academy League game. (Full game stats.)
Fabrigas did all of his damage in only 2 1/2 quarters before leaving the game because of an injury. In that short duration, Fabrigas scored rushing touchdowns on each of the first four possessions for the Warriors (4-6, 1-2). He finished with 181 yards rushing on only 15 carries.
The Warriors turned a 21-9 halftime lead into a blowout early in the second half. On the first possession by the Eagles (0-10, 0-3), the Warriors James Efstratios sacked Sean Connolly and forced a fumble that was recovered on the Eagles 4-yard line setting up a Fabrigas touchdown.
