Darryl Jenkins makes 12 catches for 205 yards, and Clark Evans throws for two TDs.
Evans threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns and Jenkins snagged 12 catches for 205 yards and two TDs as the Griffins held off the host Bruins, 28-14, on Friday night.
"We made enough plays to win," Los Alamitos coach John Barnes said. "I want to be positive; winning is winning, any way you can get it."
With Los Alamitos holding the ball and ahead 21-7, the game was delayed for 23 minutes in the fourth quarter when a transformer from the lights was lost and the field went pitch dark.
When play resumed, Evans marched the Griffins (3-0), ranked No. 8 in the Pac-5 Division CIF-SS coaches rankings, down the field for a clinching score. His dive from the 1 with 4:04 left put Los Al ahead, 28-7.
Evans and Jenkins connected twice in the first half, the latter score with nine seconds before halftime, to lift Los Al to a 21-0 lead.
