JSerra hires former Olympian Swail-Ertel to be aquatics director

JSerra has hired two-sport Olympian Julie Swail-Ertel, 36, as its aquatics director and girls water polo coach.

Swail-Ertel, a former standout at Valencia High, was a captain for the U.S. women's water polo team that won silver at the 2000 Olympics. In 2008, she competed in triathlon at the Beijing Games.

Swail-Ertel, formerly the women's water polo coach at UC Irvine, said she is encouraged by the “great potential” in JSerra and its aquatics program.
