High school football primer: top nonleague games
Here are nonleague games you should check out
2. Servite at Edison, Sept. 20: Half of Servite’s four defeats last year were to Edison, including a meeting in the Pac-5 Division quarterfinals.
3. Los Alamitos vs. Orange Lutheran at Cal State Fullerton, Sept. 28: This year it is the Griffins who boast the experienced, dual-threat quarterback in Clark Evans.
4. Edison at Mater Dei, Sept. 28: It might be the final high school meeting between the county’s two best quarterbacks — the Monarchs’ Matt Barkley and the Chargers’ Nick Crissman — or, better, a Pac-5 Division playoff preview.
5. Concord De La Salle at Mission Viejo, Oct. 6: Mission Viejo was overmatched by De La Salle in 2006, but it has been years since the Diablos lost a home game.
