CIF-SS boys volleyball pairings released
The pairings for the CIF-SS boys volleyball championships were released Saturday morning.
The playoffs will begin Monday with the wild card round. The first round of the playoffs is on Tuesday. The action moves extremely fast. After Tuesday, the quarterfinals are Saturday, May 12, the semifinals are May 15 (Tuesday) and the finals are May 19 at Cypress College.
Loyola of Los Angeles is the top seed in Division 1. Esperanza is the second seed, followed by Mira Costa of Manhattan Beach and Servite at No. 4.
In Division 2, Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach are seeded Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
Four of the five teams from the Sea View League made the playoffs in Division. Capistrano Valley, San Juan Hills and Trabuco Hills received the guaranteed berths. El Toro was the at-large team thanks to an overall record above .500.
