CIF-SS Dual Meet Championship pairings announced
Last year, saw the Laguna Hills Hawks claim their first CIF-SS Division 1 Dual Meet wrestling championship.
This year, the Hawks, the South Coast League champion, has earned the third seed and will have to get through a familiar opponent if another berth in the finals is in the cards.
Division 1 will be held at Villa Park HS.
Laguna Hills is in the bottom half of the Division 1 bracket, with No. 2 seeded Oak Hills of Hesperia. The teams met earlier this season at the Villa Park tri-meet, with Oak Hills winning 44-18.
Laguna Hills will open against Murrieta Valley.
All first-round action in each of the six divisions will begin at 11 a.m.
In other divisions, Servite, the Trinity League champion is the No. 2 seed in Division 2 at Moorpark HS. The Friars will open against Palm Springs. Santa Ana is the fourth seed and will face Coachella Valley in the first round.
Valencia is the top seed in Division 5, which is taking place at Western HS. The Tigers, who won the Empire League title, has a first-round bye. Valencia will face either Woodbridge or Magnolia in the second round.
