CdM's Meyer, Katella's DiPalma to coach O.C. all-star game

Corona del Mar’s Scott Meyer and Katella’s Fred DiPalma have been selected as the coaches for the Brea Lions Orange County North-South all-star football game June 28 at Orange Coast College.

Meyer guided Corona del Mar to its second consecutive CIF Southern Division title while DiPalma led Katella to its first league title since 1967.

Corona del Mar also won the Pacific Coast League in 2012 and finished 12-2.

Katella captured the Orange League and finished 9-3 in 2012. The Knights fell to Woodbridge, 21-19, in the Southern Division quarterfinals.

DiPalma also coached the North in the 1994 county all-star game while at Savanna.
