I had some technical issues, but I'm back online just in time for the final over here at Handel Stadium. Cypress defeats Western, 23-10, in the Empire League opener for both teams.
University rallies for 31 consecutive points to beat Estancia, 45-28. Estancia's star running back Robert Murtha was out with an ankle injury.
James Stea had a blocked punt and an interception to lead Los Al to a 48-7 victory over Lynwood.
Sonora defeats Rancho Alamitos, 32-20. Matt Villasenor had 134 yards and two TDs on 26 carries, he caught two passes for 26 yards and he had a pair of big punt returns.
Santa Ana Valley has a 40-7 lead on Santiago.
