Mission Viejo's Steven Ewoldt opened his senior season by blazing a time of 22.10 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle against Laguna Hills last week. The All-America consideration time helped Ewoldt earn the boys swimmer of the week award for March 7, 2011.

The sprinter blazed to an All-American considerion time of 21.10 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle to help the Diablos open the season with a 100-70 victory against Laguna Hills.
Ewoldt also won the 100 free in a county-leading 47.83.
