Johnson confirms Bridgford's commitment to Cal

Mission Viejo quarterback Allan Bridgford committed to Cal, Mission Viejo coach Bob Johnson confirmed.

Bridgford, 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds, will be a senior this fall. As a junior in 2007, he completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,508 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Johnson said other colleges most actively recruiting Bridgford were Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Nebraska, Stanford, Tenessee and Texas Tech.
