The freshman smashed Courtney Cashion's meet record in the 100-yard freestyle by clocking a county-leading time of 50.51 seconds at the Mission Viejo Invitational on Saturday. She also won the 100 backstroke in a county-leading 55.71. Engel's times rank seventh and ninth in county history.
