Petrone resigns as Marina's football coach

Marina football coach Dan Petrone resigned, the school said in a statement released Tuesday.

“Coach Petrone has chosen to refocus his energies more on personal obligations to his family at this time in his career,” the statement said.

Marina went 1-9 this season and 0-5 in Sunset League play. The Vikings' only victory was a 40-8 triumph over Western.
