FIRST TEAM
JESSICA VASILIC, FRESHMAN, CANYON
She was 12-under par through her first three CIF postseason tournaments and that included a 3-under 69 during the Southern Section team championships at Mountain Meadows. She was the only player to break 70 that day. She also shot a 2-over 74 at the WSCGA championships which made her one of the three lowest scoring county players at the tournament.
ELISABETH BERNABE, FRESHMAN, CANYON
She carded a 2-over 74 during the CIF Southern Section Individual championships, making her one of three county players to break 75 that day. She ended up tied for 11th in the 91-player tournament. And she was only one of three Canyon players to shoot in the 70s as the Comanches finished fifth at the Southern Section team championships at Mountain Meadows. She also finished with a 3-over 75 at the WSCGA Southern Region Championships, putting her among the top six county players at the tournament
KAITLIN PARK,SOPHOMORE, BECKMAN
She was the only Orange County player to qualify for the CIF State championship after shooting a 3-under 69 at the WSGCA Southern Championship tournament in Murrita. She was the runner-up in that tournament. She finished tied for eighth after posting a 4-over 78 at Poppy Hills.
KRISTINA NHIM, SENIOR, CYPRESS
She carded an even-par 72 at the CIF-SS Individual Championship at Talega which made her one of only two county players to come in at par or better. She shot an even-par 72 at Landmark Golf Club in Hemet to finish in a tie for eighth at the CIF-SS Southern Region Individual Championships.
ESTHER LEE, FRESHMAN, LOS ALAMITOS
She finished third in the CIF-SS Southern Region Individual Championship after surviving a two-hole playoff. She shot a 3-under 69 that day at Landmark Golf Club. She was the only county player to break par at Talega during the CIF-SS Individual championships after shooting a 1-under 71. That put her in a tie for fifth.
VICTORIA NGUYEN, JUNIOR, MATER DEI
She posted the lowest score, a 3-under 69, at the CIF-SS Eastern Team Divisional at Seven Hills Golf Club in Hemet to help the Monarchs finish sixth in the 15-team field. She finished tied for fifth at the CIF-SS Southern Individual Regional after posting a 2-under 70 at Landmark Golf Club in Hemet. She also finished with a 3-over 75 at the WSCGA Southern Region Championships, putting her among the top six county players at the tournament.
COACH OF THE YEAR
MICHAEL BOVA, UNIVERSITY
His Trojans won their fourth consecutive Pacific Coast League title, posting a 29-2 record over the last two season. This year at the CIF Southern Section Team Championships, the Trojans tied for seventh with 407 strokes. Their scoring average this year was 199, and twice they shot in the 180s.
