Kickoff 2010: Brethren Christian Warriors
Last season record:
5-5, 1-2 (3rd Academy League)
Postseason:
2008, lost to Twentynine Palms, 63-22, in East Valley Division first round
Coach:
Bruce Eien (15th year, 64-78-4)
Home stadium:
Clark Field
Outlook:
The Warriors have some talent at the skill positions with running back Brandon White and wide out Alex Debardelaben. They also have excellent size on the line. Two-way tackle Bob Frisch might be the best lineman in the Academy League. The challenge for Brethren Christian will be depth and establishing a consistent offensive threat. Last season’s standout, running back Ryan Randle, rushed for almost 1,500 yards but is now playing wide receiver at Pomona-Pitzer. The Warriors feature a first-year starter at quarterback in Sam Franklin but Coach Bruce Eien considers the passing game a strength. The Warriors will play their home games at Clark Field for the first time since 2005 because of an issue over lights at their school.

Factoids:
