Offense finally clicks, but Capo Valley Christian loses again
Capistrano Valley Christian vs. Bloominton Christian
But one touchdown was not enough. And neither was three.
Despite scoring twice in the final three minutes, Capistrano Valley fell short against Bloomington Christian, 26-19, in a game pitting young teams whose best days are ahead of them.
It was the first victory for Bloomington Christian (1-2), whose J.R. Ogunley rushed 20 times for 140 yards, including a back-breaking 73-yarder in the second quarter that swung the game the Ravens’ way.
It came on the first play following Charles Fortis’ interception of a pass by CVC quarterback Sean Connolly.
CVC (0-4) had apparently scored on Michael Stadt’s 20-yard run, but it was nullified by a holding penalty.
