Mater Dei was unable to pull off a miracle comeback.
Long Beach Poly defeats the Monarchs, 35-17, to claim the CIF-SS Pac-5 Division championship.
Poly is now 16-3-2 in championship games and owns a 2-1-1 edge over the Monarchs in championship games.
The Jackrabbits stay alive in the hunt for a bowl game bid. That will be announced on Sunday.
