Unbeaten Troy tops Bellflower

BELLFLOWER - Dallas Parent rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns as Troy defeated Bellflower, 28-14, in a non-league game at Bellflower High.

Parent's second touchdown, a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter, gave the Warriors the lead for good at 21-14. Nate Evans had 14 carries for 78 yards and one touchdown and was joined by Deion Hart, who carried the ball eight times for 58 yards and a touchdown.

The Buccaneers were led by Mike Miranda, who scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter to tie the game at 14-14.

Troy goes to 3-0 and next takes on Woodbridge. Bellflower drops to 2-2.

Quarterback Nathan
Connoly had passed for 30
yards before being knocked
out of the game in the sec-
ond quarter when he was
playing defensive back. He would not return to the game and was replaced by number 3 Kyle Blummer who 1 for 2 for 53 yards and a fumble.

the Warriors on the board
in the second quarter and a
14-yarder in the second half.

takes on Woodbridge.

Bellflower drops to 2-2
and next will travel and
take on La Mirada.
