SAN CLEMENTE--Sophomore quarterback Riley Babick’s 185 first-half passing yards sparked Capistrano Valley Christian crushed Animo Leadership, 49-12, in a San Joaquin League game Friday night at San Clemente High.
The Eagles (6-0) dominated the first quarter with five passing touchdowns, four from Babick and one from freshman wide receiver Ben Sukut, who completed a 16-yard pass to fellow receiver Mike Updegraff.

Animo Leadership (0-7) turned the ball over four times in the first half, including a pass that was intercepted by sophomore defensive back Josh Anderson, who returned it 32-yards for a touchdown.
The Eagles scored four times in the first six minutes of the game.
On the last play of the first half, Animo Leadership finally got on the board with a 20-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Javion Hartford to freshman receiver Kobe Bennet.
In the second half, the Eagles’ second-team offense scored on an 8-yard pass from freshman quarterback Chris Cenzer to freshman receiver KCI Thompson. Hartford connected with Bennet on one more scoring pass in the fourth quarter, this one a 61-yard completion.
