All-County Football Awards show honors players
The Register's top football awards were handed out Tuesday night at the 2012 All-County Football Awards show.
All of the players selected to the All-County first teams were honored at the dinner held at Infiniti of Mission Viejo, and the show was taped by Cox3 for later broadcasts.
The “All-County Football Awards Show” will be televised on Cox3 beginning Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m., and will air through Dec. 31. It will also be available on Cox3's OnDEMAND service throughout January.
The highlight of the night was the awarding of the top honors, which went to Mater Dei's Thomas Duarte (Offensive Player of the Year), Mission Viejo's Max Redfield (Defensive Player of the Year) and Mater Dei's Bruce Rollinson (Coach of the Year).
The awards were handed out by Register owner and publisher Aaron Kushner, former NFL player Vince Ferragamo and Bill Cunerty, a longtime coach who is now a football analyst for Cox/3.
