Aquinas dominates Estancia, 35-13

Special to OCVarsity.com

SAN BERNARDINO - Last year the Aquinas Falcons dominated the Estancia Eagles in their home opener.

A year later and not much has changed as the Falcons scored a victory in their season opener over the Eagles, 35-13, Friday night.

The game started slowly for both teams with no score midway through the second quarter. But with 3:26 left, Falcon running back JP Ragan blazed his way to a 31-yard touchdown run to put the Falcons up.

A couple minutes later Falcon quarterback Tyler Stirewalt connected with wide receiver Jim Jones for a 57 yard touchdown pass that would put the Falcons up 14-0 entering halftime.

The Falcons started the third quarter with a 91-yard kickoff return by Jones. Bobbie Jones added on a 14 yard touchdown run bringing the score to 28-0.
