Anaheim slams Century, 62-13
ANAHEIM — Anaheim defeated Century, 62-13, in an Orange League matchup Friday night at Glover Stadium.
With 7:59 left in the first quarter, Anaheim running back Kevin Dawson scored the first of his three touchdowns in the game, rushing from 8 yards out to give Anaheim the lead.
With 4:43 left in the second quarter, Dawson scored again, this time on a 10-yard run. Dawson’s final score for Anaheim (3-4, 2-0)came on a 2-yard run with 1:21 left in the first half.
Dawson finished the game with 99 yards on eight carries.
The only scoring plays for Century (0-7, 0-2) came in the second and fourth quarters.
With 10:18 left in the second quarter, Century’s Ricky Canales hauled in a 23-yard pass from quarterback Eduardo Garcia.
With 10:33 left in the fourth quarter, Century quarterback Josh Salgado rushed 52-yards on a keeper.
Salgado was the third quarterback for Century after Garcia cracked his collarbone in the second quarter. He was replaced by Cesar Padilla, who completed 3 of 8 passes for 23 yards and two interceptions, including a 23-yard interception return by Anaheim’s Albert Villalobos with 3:03 left in the second quarter.
