He went 5 for 10 with two doubles and five RBIs for the Griffins as they beat Newport Harbor twice in Sunset League play. Yazdanbakhsh, a senior catcher, has helped Los Alamitos win six league games in a row to move in to first-place tie with Marina. Los Alamitos has defeated Huntington Beach, Marina and Newport Harbor twice each in the six-game league winning streak. The Griffins play Fountain Valley twice this week.
