Russ May has resigned as boys basketball coach at Los Alamitos to take the men's basketball coaching position at Cerritos College.
May coached Los Alamitos for 10 years, and led the Griffins to eight league and two CIF championships. He was an assistant coach at Cerritos College before taking the Los Alamitos job.
He has been county coach of the year and a CIF coach of the year at Los Alamitos.
He will remain at Los Alamitos as a teacher this school year, then become a fulltime faculty member at Cerritos College for the 2010-11 school year.
