Meyran helped build the Los Alamitos program in 2007 and the program has risen, this year winding up as the third-ranked team in the county.
For his excellent leadership of the Los Alamitos program, Meyran has been selected the Orange County boys lacrosse coach of the year.
The Griffins reached the semifinal round of the Orange County playoffs, losing to eventual champion Foothill, 14-12.
Los Alamitos finished with a 19-2 overall record and was the Sunset League champion with an 8-0 mark.
In 2008, the Los Alamitos program took major strides when it went 9-5 in the Sunset League to earn a share of the league title.
Meyran played Division I lacrosse at Towson, where he graduated in 2001.
