The CenturyLink Center was alive with energy and glitz Monday night for opening of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials in Omaha. The arena was packed with more than 11,000 fans for the Day 1 finals, which featured the first showdown between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. The turnout also impressed considering Arizona and South Carolina played across the street Monday night in the College World Series finale.
