LAUREN CHAMBERLAIN -- Claiming the No. 1 spot is Lauren Chamberlain, an offensive powerhouse from El Toro high school. Considered one of the scariest hitters in Orange County, she hit .422 with a .916 slugging percentage last year. This past fall she smashed 27 homeruns in 3 months with her club team, the Worth Firecrackers. Along with her power, she is one of the most athletic softball players in the county, and a huge threat on the bases. Only a junior, and already committed to the University of Oklahoma, she broke the hearts of both the University of Washington and the University of Arizona with her decision. Expect big numbers to compliment her beautiful swing this high school season.
